Local-first product

When you run NTerm, session vaults, enable secrets, AI prompts, Monitor events, token totals, completion cache, and the config knowledge base live in the NTerm data directory on your computer (for Docker: ./data). ValeronLabs LLC does not receive those files in this beta. We do not operate a cloud login for NTerm.

API providers

If you enable the Do bar or chat with an API key, the prompt and retrieved snippets are sent to the provider you chose (OpenAI, Anthropic, or a compatible endpoint). Their privacy terms apply. NTerm does not proxy that traffic through nterm.ai.

This website

nterm.ai is a static informational site. It does not create user accounts. Standard web logs on the host (IP, user-agent, requested path) may exist for operations and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to build marketing profiles in this beta.

Bench feed

If NTerm is configured to pull https://nterm.ai/bench-feed.json, it downloads public cookbook JSON. That request is a normal HTTPS fetch. It does not include your passwords or session logs.

MCP

The local MCP server binds for agents on your machine. Do not publish it to the internet. Other agents you attach can read KB search results you allow — still local unless you point them elsewhere.
